Blog Entry 2 - Problems & Resolutions
Students don't really know their expected learning results. That is because no one really cares about their learning results. Students believe that their classes or nothing else really matters. No one notices the posters and even if we do see it, it seems like an irrelevant thing. The expected learning results is a boring expectation of what students should be like when they graduate from Crenshaw.
Putting more posters around wouldn't be a solution to motivate students. I think a solution would be to give extra credit points to those that know an ESLR or more if they know all of them. I think maybe like 50-100 students might know the ESLRs. My solution may work, but then again students wouldn't really care about them. They would just learn them for the extra credit.
It is important for a school or organization to write down the goals. It's important so that everyone would know what they should do. Then maybe the people could work towards that goal. If there was no goals, then nobody will be motivated to work hard. Everyone has to work hard for something to achieve something.
